Sports Camps

The City of Pflugerville partners with Skyhawks for kid's sports camps and clinics. The following camps are available over the summer for ages 5-12 in Pflugerville parks and facilities:

  • Baseball Camp (Windermere Park)
  • Soccer Camp (Heritage Park)
  • Volleyball Camp (Windermere Park)

Pfun Camps

Youth Program Standards of Care

Annual Pfun Camps:

Pick-up and drop off for all pfun camps are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (extended drop-off hours 7:30 a.m. and pickup at 5:30 p.m.). Spring Break & Winter Pfun Camps pick up and drop off at the Pflugerville Recreation Center (400 Immanuel Rd.). Summer Pfun Camp pick up and drop off is at Gilleland Creek Park (700 Railroad Ave.)

Summer Pfun Camp

Pfun Camp Registration Packet available here (1 per child)

Camp is ten, week-long sessions. Activities include weekly field trips, active games, swimming, cookouts, arts and crafts, science projects, service projects at the Pfarmers Market and Animal Shelter, visits to Lake Pflugerville and the Library and more outdoor pfun.

Registration: Online and in-person. With the exception of the Spring Pfling, all registration is online or in-person starting at 8 a.m. 

  • Early Registration at Spring Pfling (Residents Only) - Saturday, March 30, 12-3 p.m.
  • Regular Registration Begins (Residents Only) - Monday, April 1
  • Regular Registration Begins (Non-Residents) - Monday, April 8

Once on the ActiveNet page, login to your account and you will be able to make your payment online. A processing fee will apply. To avoid this fee, pay in person at the Recreation Center, located at 400 Immanuel Road.

Summer Pfun Camp Age Groups

  • Lemonheads: 1st and 2nd grades (5-year-olds must have completed Kindergarten) 
  • Skittles: 3rd and 4th grades
  • Fireballs: 5th and 6th grades
  • Teens: 7th through 10th grades (no older than 15)

Winter Pfun Camp

What better way to start the new year than with Winter Pfun Camp?! Join us as we go on Pfield Trips, make crafts, play games and much more! Ages 6-12.

Ages: 6-12

Dance Camps

Jump Rope & Classic Games

  • Ages 6 - 9
  • June 10 - 14
  • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Fee: $115 per registrant

Come jump in!  Learn individual, long rope and Double Dutch skills, play four square and other active games, and explore the intricacies of string figures. Campers get to keep a jump rope and some fun crafts. Campers wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. Bring a water bottle and lunch.

Princess Camp

  • Ages 4 - 6
  • June 24 - 28
  • 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Fee: $115 per registrant

Royalty reigns! Crafts, movement, music and make-believe in a regal three and a half hour camp. Campers wear stretch clothing, ballet & tap shoes. Bring a water bottle and lunch.

Camp Moana

  • Ages 4 - 6
  • July 8 - 12
  • 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Fee: $115 per registrant

Aloha! Dance (hula, ballet, and tap), crafts, music and make-believe in a tropical three and a half hour camp.  Campers wear stretch clothing, ballet & tap shoes. Bring a water bottle and lunch.

Film Making Camp

 “Film Making Camp by RARE Learning” is a five day video production camp that teaches digital video filming, editing, and production techniques. It is designed to generate an interest in critical observation and communications by engaging students in film-making projects. During the camp students will learn on-air confidence and learn an introductory video production skills. Students will complete a film as a group project - while learning the basics of the process - and will "premier" the film for the parents on the last day of class. RARE Learning will provide supporting materials such as the camera, lighting, and computer for the class.

Digital Photography Camp

Digital Photography Camp by RARE Learning is a specialized program that introduces students to the art of photography. Students will have the opportunity to learn about introductory aspects of digital photography including composition, lighting a subject, use of lenses, and digital editing. They will have the chance to express their creativity by learning to take good photos - something that is commonly used in social media and professional life. Students need to bring a digital camera to class.

Young Rembrants - Half Day Art Camps

Fantasy Forest Drawing Workshop

  • Ages 6 - 12
  • June 10 - June 14
  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Fee: $145 per registrant

Magical, mythical, marvelous art is coming your way in this new Young Rembrandts drawing workshop. Join us for five days filled with fun and creative though as we explore deep in the Fantasy Forest. Students will tap into their imagination while learning to draw otherworldly creatures like fairies, trolls and a forest queen. Your child’s talent will enchant you as they create beautiful scenery and new masterpieces every day. Register now to save your child’s spot in this fanciful workshop!
 

Character Creation Cartooning Workshop

  • Ages 6 - 12
  • July 1 - 5 *No class July 4th
  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Fee: $116 per registrant

Learn the basics of cartooning and create your own characters! Each day students will learn basic art techniques used in cartooning. Subjects like characteristics, features, exaggeration, action and personification will contribute to your child’s artistic advancement! Young Rembrandts students will immediately apply their new skills in every class to create their own original cartoon characters.

Culinary Mischief Pastels Workshop

  • Ages 7 - 12
  • August 5 - 9
  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Fee: $150 per registrant

Our domestic critters are up to no good in this five-day pastel workshop! We’ll use pastels to create amazing, “can’t-believe-I-drew-this” masterpieces. A mouse making soup, a dog eyeing the spaghetti and silly birds on cakes are some of the mischievously-delicious drawings students will create every day. Pastels are an amazing medium—that with good direction, can make an artist out of any rookie. You won’t believe the results from this fun-for-all, skill-enhancing workshop. No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day. 

 


Camp Einstein - Half Day Camps

Moderrn Marvels

Is your camper fascinated by the way things work? This camp is all about innovation & design as we explore modern science and the devices that have improved our everyday life! We will study how engineers manufacture salt from the ground, recreate earth moving equipment that dig giant tunnels, and explore the science behind robotic limbs! Student's will tinker, design, and construct in this hand‐on camp!

Can U Dig It?

  • Ages 5 ‐ 12
  • July 15 ‐ 19
  • 9 a.m. ‐ 12 p.m.
  • Fee: $145 per registrant

Travel back in 􀆟me to find ancient artifacts. Learn about the humans and animals that lived in an era long before technology like cell phones and the internet! Become an archaeologist and explore how cultures before us practiced science and engineering. Find out what natural disasters they experienced and how they lived. Dig up some fun in this summer camp!

CSI Forensics

  • Ages 5 ‐ 12
  • July 29—August 2
  • 9 a.m. ‐ 12 p.m.
  • Fee: $145 per registrant

Put on your detective hat and become a CSI investigator with this week‐long class that explores topics in forensic investigation, evidence collection and techniques, and problem solving. Observe a crime scene, and take fingerprints and footprints. Question subjects, and perform DNA and blood analysis. Through the use of science and technology, discover clues left behind that may be invisible to the naked eye! From analyzing handwriting to
taking teeth molds, students will enjoy this hands‐on camp where they will develop their detective skills and help solve a mystery!

The 4-day long workshop will include education on boating safety basics, equipment selection, Bassology 101, lure selection, and tactics and techniques. Students needs to bring polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.

 Youth Recreation Scholarship Program

This program is available to children and their families who meet certain income/residency requirements. Electronic applications and program guidelines can be found online on the Community Development Block Grant information page, or you can pick one up from the Recreation Center located at 400 Immanuel Road.

Complete the application and turn in to the Recreation Center front desk. Applicants will be notified by email listed on program application of their status.
