Pfarmers Market kickoff May 2
May 2 is opening day for the weekly Pfarmers Market which runs on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Enjoy shopping fresh produce and supplies in the Green Red Barn at Heritage Park, 901 Old Austin Hutto Road. For opening day, pick up a reusable shopping bag and milkweed seeds onsite. Vendors sell a variety of produce including tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, squash, okra, garlic, melons, peaches and grapes; artisan baked goods; honey; flowers; eggs; free-range meats; jarred salsas, pickles and jams; fruits and plants.
Heritage House Museum is open during the Pfarmers Market with a special onsite demo by the Austin Book Arts Center. Come by the museum to sew a book by hand or create a bookmark using a tabletop printing press.
